Responsive Hypnotherapy - Making Life Easier.
I chose the tag line Making Life Easier because it does that for the client and for the hypnotherapist.
It makes life easier for the client because they get rapid permanent relief from their problems
It makes life easier for the hypnotherapist because they have a system that works for most things for most people most of the time and is very easy to use.
How do you learn?
This course moves fast and to CCH Practice Makes Perfect. To us PMP is one of our mantras.
During the Responsive Hypnotherapy your training gives you every skill, technique, template and protocol you need. You will learn all that you need for the GHR accreditation and so much more on top. You are not overburdened with loads of out-of-date psychological theory.
Demonstrations – it is a necessity to take part. As are student practice sessions; being hypnotised by a fellow student. These sessions will be observed and marked

What is Responsive Hypnotherapy?
The basic premise of this type of work is that people can change their mind fast. It does not take weeks to change your mind – it takes seconds. When someone is ready they can let go and feel the changes as they happen.
Much of this work is in a rather light and natural trance. The induction used is something the client already has in their mind that makes them chilled out. Usually the client enters a deeper state of their own non-conscious volition. This process is natural, indirect, conversational and non-threatening to the client.
Responsive Hypnotherapy does not look at the client’s past nor analyse why they feel the way they do. It focuses on what is happening now, how to move the client on to a predetermined and positive outcome. Painful abreactions rarely occur. This was one of the main driving forces behind the creation of this style of hypnotherapy.
Another important factor in the creation of this approach is the speed of efficacy. Most problems eliminated for most people in two sessions. Even three or four issues at the same time!
Every client is unique so the path to the future is different too. There are no scripts to follow only the needs of the client’s map of their changing world. The hypnotherapist is a highly skilled interactive guide.
He or she is not a dictator, provider of suggestions, giver of information or reader of a script.
You will need to be able to tell a story, non-scripted with all the elements your client needs to make changes. The techniques and protocols provided rely on this.
The hypnotherapist requires a significant degree of intuitive understanding. They observe their client. Identify the client’s modes of communication - as verbal, nonverbal. And accepts their interpretation of reality.
The hypnotherapist quite rapidly helps the client to change their thoughts, emotions and behaviours. By using the specialised techniques they will be learning. During the process the client draws on the talents they already have. And use these to feel and live the changes as they happen.
How does Responsive Hypnotherapy work?
The process is in a style that is non-rigid, fluid and responsive to the needs of the client. It is almost totally client led so is easy and meets little psychological resistance. The mind is not forced or coerced in any way. Self-created changes are far more powerful that given suggestions.
Why this course is different to most others
This Responsive Hypnotherapy course is our own. Written by Richard Wain, for Cressingham College of Hypnotherapy. We do not teach a course written by someone else years ago.
We are not part of a nationwide franchise that sells exactly the same course all over the country.

Phase 2: The Life-builder and Support sessions
Phase 2 of the Responsive Hypnotherapy Programme is about extra support to help your clients rebuild their lives. This part of Responsive Hypnotherapy Programme is optional to the client. Yes! It is optional. Many people who have undergone Phase 1 have dissociated from their problem. They are suffering no symptoms at all – forever.
This means they are able to get out there and enjoy life again. Yet; there are a significant number of people who have lost the confidence to ‘get out there’ again. They need extra support. These people are usually serious addicts, suffered from PTSD or abuse/rape victims. This is where Phase 2 swings into action.
The Responsive Hypnotherapy Programme is not about getting rid of something – it is also used to put things in as well. There are specific sessions that allow people to gain confidence. Or become more social and trusting. They can build safe relationships and look for work again. It is irresponsible to help someone let go and move on. And then not support them if they need help to re-build their former life.
There is no final written exam at the end of the Responsive Hypnotherapy Programme. Assessment is throughout the course by direct observation of your performance. Also through your homework and recordings. Most modules have written assessments to complete.
You will have feedback throughout the course. If you are having problems they will discuss them with you – we want you to pass. You must complete all elements of the course before your diploma can be awarded.
You will not get your qualification until all coursework is to the required standard. The time limit on this course is 6 months but do not use this as an excuse to not complete homework and assessments. Once you get behind it becomes more difficult to complete the work required.
You will need retain a portfolio of your recordings, scripts and question answers. This is for possible moderation by a representative of ACCPH. This portfolio should be digital not paper based.
